REFRIGERANT
A chemical compound used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems is called a refrigerant. They cool air or things by absorbing heat and transmitting it in a cycle.
Because they may evaporate and chill the surrounding air at relatively low temperatures, refrigerants generally have low boiling points. The refrigerant absorbs heat in its liquid state and turns into a gas. The refrigerant then releases heat and reverts to a liquid state through the processes of condensation and compression, becoming ready for the subsequent cycle.
